Marisa Baker is a powerhouse in New Jersey family law, known for her unwavering dedication to helping clients navigate divorce, custody battles, support disputes, and domestic violence cases. With a sharp legal mind and a compassionate approach, she also guides clients through estate planning, probate, and high-stakes estate litigation. Recognitions
Marisa has been recognized for her legal excellence, earning the title of Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2011 and 2012, an honor reserved for just 2.5% of attorneys under 40. In 2015 and 2016, she was named one of the "Top 10 Under 40" Family Law Attorneys in Northern New Jersey by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. She has also served as a trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and has contributed to various committees, including the Amicus, Professional Responsibility, and Unlawful Practice committees. She previously chaired the association’s Young Lawyers Division and has been an active member of the Family Law Section.
Education
Marisa is a graduate of Yale University and Seton Hall Law School, bringing intellect and determination to every case she takes on. Her background in both law and advocacy enables her to approach cases with a strategic and results-driven mindset.
Beyond the Law
Beyond the courtroom, Marisa has been deeply engaged in legal and political spheres. She ran for the New Jersey State Assembly in 2019, demonstrating her passion for justice beyond family law. She is an active member of the Hunterdon County Bar Association and has also been involved with the Somerset and Mercer County Bar Associations.
